Important Announcement - All Talks on Hold

We are sorry everyone but for the time being, as COVID-19 continues to disrupt the normalcy of our lives, we must put all of our talks on hold. That said we will continue to monitor things along with everyone else, and look forward to when we can resume our regular CoffeeShop lecture series with you all! So do stay tuned, stay in touch with us through our social media, and check our website periodically to look for any updates!

Best wishes to you all - stay happy and healthy!

UWM Planetarium - Stars Have Stories

In the mean time, if you are itching for more astronomy related events, the UWM Planetarium is hosting a series of online web chats live each Friday, through June 26th. For more information, check out the following link here, or the Facebook page here.

Welcome to CoffeeShop Astrophysics!

These are a series of informal public lectures aimed at anyone interested in getting a taste of modern science, all from the comfort of your local coffee shop. Members of the Leonard E Parker Center for Gravitation, Cosmology and Astrophysics will guide you through the interesting, unusual, and sometimes bizarre concepts that guide the modern understanding of our universe. At the end of each lecture, we hope to have rekindled or ignited a passion for astrophysics!

Lectures will begin at 1 pm on the Saturdays specified in the schedule.

Please explore our website to find out more about CoffeeShop Astrophysics. Check our schedule for details about lecture topics, dates, the location of this lecture series, and who we are. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us! Looking forward to meeting and discussing science with you.
